Meet Courtney Nied:
Founder of The Rising Heart and lead trainer
Courtney Nied is an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher, yoga therapist, and world-traveling soul guide who has been teaching for over a decade. With a background in alignment-based power yoga, somatic embodiment, and shadow work, Courtney helps students move beyond self-doubt and into deep self-trust—on and off the mat.
She’s led international retreats, created teacher trainings across the globe, and developed programs for studios like Black Swan Yoga, Beach Town Yoga, Kootenay Yoga, and more. Her classes blend dynamic strength with grounded wisdom, and her teaching style is known for being raw, real, and deeply empowering.
Courtney believes yoga is a path to remember who you are—and her mission is to help others reclaim their voice, their body, and their truth through movement, mindfulness, and a whole lot of heart. When she’s not leading trainings, you’ll find her exploring hidden corners of the world with her pup, Kora, and reminding everyone that freedom isn’t found—it’s felt.
Meet Shannon Rose Scott:
Shannon Rose Scott is a sound alchemist, yoga teacher, and teacher trainer whose work weaves sacred sound, mantra, meditation, and embodied movement into deeply transformative experiences. With over a decade of teaching internationally, she bridges ancient yogic wisdom with modern somatic and nervous-system–aware practices that support self-trust, clarity, and healing.
Her teachings draw from Sanskrit mantra, breathwork, active and seated meditation, and a wide range of sacred sound instruments—including crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, drum, vocal toning, and the primal voice. Shannon guides students into a lived, embodied experience of yoga—one that moves through the body, the breath, the voice, and the subtle layers of awareness.
Shannon is the creator of a sound-based teacher training system and has led trainings, retreats, and immersions for students and teachers seeking to integrate meditation, philosophy, sound, and embodiment into their teaching and personal practice. Her style is intuitive, grounded, and spacious, inviting students to listen deeply, reclaim their voice, and explore yoga as a path of awareness, creativity, and connection—on and off the mat.
