10-Day Costa Rica Itinerary: Adventure, Nature & Beach Vibes

April 17-26, 2026

This 10-day journey is the ultimate Costa Rica experience — a perfect mix of adventure, nature, and laid-back beach life. Designed for travelers who crave both adrenaline and connection, this itinerary takes you from the volcano views of La Fortuna to the surf culture of Santa Teresa and the tropical wildlife of Manuel Antonio.

You’ll zipline through rainforest canopies, chase waterfalls on an ATV, soak in volcanic hot springs, surf the Pacific waves, and spot monkeys, sloths, and toucans in Costa Rica’s most iconic national parks. Between the adventures, enjoy plenty of downtime for beach sunsets, local food meetups, and connecting with other travel club members.

It’s a guided, community-based adventure that blends curated group experiences with flexibility for solo exploring. Whether you’re here for the thrill, the nature, or the pura vida vibes, this itinerary delivers a little bit of everything that makes Costa Rica unforgettable.

Pura Vida Traveling Club Packages

We offer four flexible travel club packages so you can choose what best fits your needs. You can even purchase just the itinerary and add tours or transportation a la carte. However, keep in mind that organizing your own transport may mean you won’t travel with the group or follow the same schedule, and last-minute activity bookings may be limited or not align with the group itinerary. For the best experience, we recommend at least booking our Ride-Along Package, which includes everything you need while still giving you the freedom to add tours along the way.

1. Plan & Go ($20+ tax)

What’s included:

  • Full group itinerary with meeting locations and times
  • Access to the WhatsApp group (connect with other travelers)
  • Access to the Google Photos group (share and view trip photos)

Description:

This is the minimum option to join the travel club. You’ll get the full itinerary and access to the community groups so you can connect with fellow travelers. You’ll have full freedom to join or leave the group at any time. Transportation and activities are not included, but you can book them independently through Pura Vida Traveling or on your own.

2. Ride Along ($297+ tax)

What’s included:

  • All city-to-city transportation with the travel group (private shuttles or vans)
  • Full group itinerary with meeting locations and times

Description:

If you just want the ease of traveling with the group but prefer to explore each destination on your own, this is your package. You’ll have guaranteed transportation between cities with the group, but activities are at your discretion.

3. Mix & Match ($464+ tax)

What’s included:

  • All city-to-city transportation with the travel group (private shuttles or vans)
