Accommodation Details:
During this 6-night retreat, we’ll stay at Villas Jacquelina, a charming treehouse-style boutique hotel in Quepos, Costa Rica. Known for its jungle views, vibrant communal spaces, and relaxed atmosphere, it’s one of the highest-rated budget-friendly stays in the area. Rooms are private, cleaned daily, and bathrooms—when shared—are only with one other participant.
Room Options:
Single Occupancy (economy) ($1,595 + taxes and fees)
A small private room with a twin bed and a ceiling fan. Shared bathroom with one or two participants.
Flights:
Flights to Costa Rica are not included in your package and must be booked separately. Please purchase tickets to San José, Costa Rica (SJO)—arriving the morning or early afternoon of December 7th 2026
We recommend booking 60–90 days in advance and tracking prices with Google Flights. From the U.S., expect to pay $450–$800 round-trip if booked wisely—anything under $500 is a great deal.
Tip: Check baggage policies before booking. Packing light can save on luggage fees.
Airport Transportation:
We provide two complimentary shuttle pick-ups from San José International Airport (SJO) to Villas Jacquelina on December 7th:
Morning Shuttle: Departs around 10:00 AM
Afternoon Shuttle: Departs around 3:00 PM
Times may adjust slightly to accommodate arrivals, so it’s best to book a flight that aligns with one of these shuttles.
For departure on December 13th, we offer two shuttle drop-offs from Villas Jacquelina to SJO:
Early Shuttle: Departs 5:00 AM (arrives at airport ~8:00 AM)
Late Shuttle: Departs 8:00 AM (arrives at airport ~12:00 PM)
We recommend booking afternoon or evening return flights. If your flights don’t match our shuttle schedule, you will be responsible for arranging your own transportation to/from Quepos.
Alternative Option (fly to and from Quepos)
If you’d prefer to skip the 3+ hour drive to and from Quepos, you can upgrade your package with a domestic flight for an additional $200 plus taxes and fees. Simply add the flight option at checkout, and we’ll arrange the schedule to best fit your travel plans.
Meals:
We will have a big family dinner on the night you arrive. For the next 5 days, we will be served breakfast at Villas Jacquelina and will either have late lunches at Villas Jacquelina or eat out at local restaurants. If we eat at restaurants, we will normally be served a traditional Costa Rican meal consisting of rice, beans, salad, vegetables, and your choice of protein (fish, chicken, beef, pork, or additional vegetables). We can normally account for all dietary requirements.
What to Bring?
We will be in a hot and humid climate and will be in and out of water regularly. It is best to pack light, with plenty of bathing suits and light clothing. The hotel offers a reasonably priced laundry service if you need to wash your clothes. The hotel will provide towels, but make sure to bring a lightweight travel towel and a reusable water bottle. Check out this blog post to learn more about what to bring to this area.
