For this route, you will have to take two shuttles sometimes with different transport providers. One from Monteverde to the San José Airport Area, and a second one from the San José Airport Area to Puerto Viejo & Cahuita.

Get picked up from most hotels or Hostel in the Monteverde area and be dropped off at most accommodations in Puerto Viejo & Cahuita. You will travel comfortably in a 12-passenger air-conditioned microbus. This trip should be 9 hours on average. You will have a waiting time of approximately 1 hours between the two shuttles and will have one official 15-minute rest stop halfway through each ride.
